why do I have a boring avatar

In SL you can be who you want to be. You can experiment with your appearance in a way that is impossible hair, skin, shape, and gender are all variables. A change of clothing is only a click away. If only it was so easy in the real world!

Despite all these possibilities, I have to admit that my avatar is quite boring. I have had the same clothing on for nearly a year now. I think my linux t-shirt must smell a bit by now.

I have a couple of avatars in different projects, and on the teen grid adult educators are locked to one island at a time. So even through I have to use differnt avitars, I have tried to keep the appearance and clothing the same in each of the Islands.

virtual meetings

Just about to join the students from McKinley Tech for today's SL session. We've been joining in virtually from Edinburgh, to a class that's running about 5500km away. We are logging into SL onto Global Kids Island, and chatting with everyone inworld. We're no worse off than a few members of the class who have been joining in from home.

Everyone has been moving on really fast, I see a lot of interesting avatars and people trying out different ways to present their appearance through SL. It'd be nice if we could find ways to start to show this off through the class blogs. I wonder if we can link some pictures into TigED blogging tool.
